Pastor's Greeting
Welcome to Bethel
African Methodist Episcopal Church.
We are the second oldest African-American church in Columbia,
South Carolina. We have a
rich heritage and legacy of being a community service church.

Presently, our Child Development
Center, Christian Academy, After School Educational Excellence Program
are just three of 73 ministries that we provide to meet the needs of our
members and the community.
We are a seven-day-a-week church.
We are open from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. during the week and we keep
similar hours on the weekend.
We are a full-service church, meeting the needs of infants to senior
citizens.
You and your family are invited to participate in our worship services,
the various ministries and special events.
We are a very diverse church that embraces the best of our
time-honored
values while being on the cutting edge of
contemporary creative worship and ministry.
For instance, we sing anthems, hymns and spirituals, but also gospel,
contemporary gospel and praise music.
We also perform liturgical (sacred) dance.
We love the Lord and we praise Him!
There are 15 youth ministries including our Young People's
Division (YPDers), Church School, Children's Church and CaBrailSong
School of Vocal Arts.
To God be the glory! Great
things He has done, is doing and will do!
Our present campus, valued at over $6 million, was
purchased in 1995. It spans
more than a city block and is one of the largest A.M.E. owned complexes
in the world!
Come and worship with us.
Join us. Witness and
experience the anointing power of God as thousands have already done.
The gracious hand of God is upon this ministry.
And by His spirit, the miracle is still unfolding at 819 Woodrow
Street!
May God bless and keep you.
Yours in Christian love and service,
Rev. Ronnie Elijah Brailsford, Sr.
Senior Pastor
